WSPA breaks the day in Clinton

The first day of Rhythm on the Rails (May 19-20), WSPA television in Spartanburg brought its Daybreak crew to uptown Clinton for a hometown program starting at 4:30 am. Plenty of familiar faces were on the morning show, and the WSPA film crew has been all around Clinton in the past few days for filming. ROTR starts at 4 pm today (May 19) with rides opening - at The Depot at 6 The 14k Gold Band will play, followed by The Tams. Clinton High football plays its Spring Game today at 6 pm, and CHS Theatre continues its spring production, "Hairspray Jr.," this weekend. On Saturday (May 20) the festival starts early and goes all day around uptown Clinton. BBQ winners will receive awards at 4. Rounding out the evening will be The Jake Bartley Band at The Depot at 7 pm. On Sunday, May 21, Hospice of Laurens County will have its annual butterfly celebration at Bellview church. AND don't forget, some D56 students and faculty are arriving back from Ohio after Team Clinton (SC state champions) competed in the National Science Olympiad. They need some rest - after this weekend, we all do!!!
