Red Devil offense can't get going

Clinton sputtered on offense and took a 39-6 defeat Friday at Pendleton.

The Red Devils' next game is at resurgent Union County, this Friday with a 7:30 pm kickoff. Clinton will play without starting quarterback Konnor Richardson, who suffered a broken arm in the loss at Pendleton. Darien Bailey's 2-yard run with 9:57 left to play in the game were Clinton's only points (2 pt conversion pass failed).

Greg Sanders picked up 88 yards for Clinton on the ground. Clinton passed for 87 yards - 67 on 6 for 17 passing by Richardson before he was hurt. PJ Bluford caught two passes for 39 yards and snatched an interception.

Three Pendelton touchdowns went for more than 50 yards. Pendleton's offense racked up 508 yards.

Clinton fell to 1-4 on the season; Pendelton improved to 3-2.
