Wonder why you are getting mail from the State Election Commission?
Voter Confirmation Cards Mailed; Reply Is Required
In accordance with the National Voter Registration Act (NVRA), and in an effort to update the master file of registered voters with correct address information, The State Election Commission is mailing Voters who have not voted in at least one election since Nov 3, 2014 a confirmation card.
A reply to this mailing is required to maintain the voter’s current status.
If a voter does not return the postage paid postcard within 90 days, his/her voter registration will be made INACTIVE.
Address changes may be made on the postal card and will be updated in the voter registration database.
The Board of Voter Registration & Elections of Laurens County urges any voter who receives a confirmation card to return it promptly.
A board statement says, “Preserve your right to vote! Every vote matters, every vote counts.”
For questions or concerns, or to confirm voter status, voters may contact the Laurens County Registration & Elections office, 864-984-4431.
