Gray Court wood chipping on council agenda
Laurens County Council, at its meeting TONIGHT, will hear a report about a wood chipping facility in Gray Court, according to the council's meeting agenda.
Open to the public, the Oct. 11 meeting will be at 5:30 pm in council chambers, second floor of the historic courthouse in downtown Laurens. The council will have a public comments time - 15 minutes - people who want to address the council on any topic must register at the podium before the meeting starts.
Other reports to council will include Debi Parker, human resources manager, discussing Risk Management Task Force and Insurance Open Enrollment, and County Administrator Jon Caime about his activities the past two weeks (the council meets every other week, and Caime reports at each meeting). Council is expected to approve a contract with the City of Clinton for animal control services, approve a resolution concerning businesses complying with the State Blue Laws, and adopt a letter of support for GEARS Youth Services (Rona Neely).
Council members' comments and an executive session (if needed) will complete the agenda. The Laurens County Council meets the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month.
