CANCER 101 Educational Series Event Will Be January 25
The Laurens County Cancer Association will host a CANCER 101 Educational Series event on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at 5:30 p.m. This event includes a free dinner and presentation to help educate citizens about cancer and issues related to it.
Regina Franco, Director of the Center for Integrative Oncology and Survivorship at GHS in Greenville will be the evening’s speaker. She will be sharing information about his new program being offered by GHS.
CIOS at GHS in Greenville is one of the first of its kind in the nation; providing a holistic approach to increase quality of life and decrease potential cancer risks. The center is designed to empower patients to navigate through the cancer experience and have the best quality of life possible. A host of services for cancer survivors is offered including oncology rehab, cancer genetics, nutrition counseling, survivorship care, counseling, lymphedema physical therapy, music therapy and smoking cessation clinics.
This event will be held at GHS Laurens County Memorial Hospital in the Women’s Life Center, 2nd floor educational room. A meal will be served, followed by the presentation by Ms. Franco.
